Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties in accordance with site cleaning standards and run sheets, ensuring all tasks are completed to the required quality level
- Vacuum, mop, dust, and maintain facilities to a high standard, paying attention to high traffic areas and touchpoints
- Empty waste bins, including sanitary and cigarette disposal units, and dispose of waste according to site protocols
- Restock and maintain facility supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning chemicals
- Conduct hazard assessments and follow all safety procedures including Take 5 and Job Hazard Analysis before starting each task
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals and biohazardous waste, following material safety data sheets and using appropriate personal protective equipment
- Maintain cleaning equipment by cleaning it after use and reporting any faults or incidents to the supervisor immediately
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, and work collaboratively across multiple sites as required
Qualifications
Previous cleaning experience is required. You must have a strong commitment to safety and following procedures. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Good communication and time management skills are necessary. You need to be reliable, punctual, and adaptable to different sites and environments. A National Police Clearance is required. A valid full and unrestricted driver’s licence is mandatory. You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident. The ability to pass pre employment screening, including a medical and other required checks, is required. No formal degree is mentioned; a high school diploma is typically sufficient. Physical fitness for standing, bending, and lifting cleaning supplies is necessary.
Benefits and Perks
This full time permanent position offers an annual salary of AUD 95,000 to AUD 97,000, which is well above the award rate for cleaners in Western Australia. Based on the 8 and 6 roster, your monthly earnings will be approximately AUD 7,900 to AUD 8,100. You will work eight days followed by six days off, giving you excellent work life balance.
