Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions in agricultural equipment including tractors, combines, harvesters, and tillage machinery using computerized and manual testing equipment
- Repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components, replacing worn or defective parts as needed
- Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating parts, cleaning components, and adjusting settings to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life
- Service attachments and working tools including mowers, balers, and tillage implements to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Verify and repair emission control systems to comply with environmental standards
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and labour hours for billing and warranty purposes
- Follow all health and safety procedures, wearing required personal protective equipment and keeping the work area clean and organised
Qualifications
A high school diploma is required. You need at least three years of paid work experience as an agricultural equipment technician or a similar role. A certificate or diploma in Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics, Agricultural Equipment Technician, or a related field is an advantage. You must be physically fit for lifting heavy parts up to twenty five kilograms, bending, and standing for long periods. Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail are essential. Good English communication skills are needed for reading technical manuals and coordinating with team members. A valid driver’s license is preferred because field service may be required. Filipino citizens aged twenty to forty five years old with a valid passport are encouraged to apply. You must be willing to work full time, forty hours per week, with possible overtime on evenings or weekends.
Benefits and Perks
This full time permanent position pays an hourly wage of CAD 35 to CAD 45 depending on your experience and skills. Based on a forty hour work week, your monthly earnings will range from approximately CAD 6,000 to CAD 7,800. Overtime pay is available at applicable rates, and shift premiums may apply for evening or weekend work. You will work in a modern, well equipped repair shop.
