Key Responsibilities

  1. Remove and fit tyres on heavy commercial vehicles including trucks, vans, and trailers using manual and automated equipment

  3. Balance wheels using static and electronic balancing equipment to ensure smooth vehicle operation
  4. Perform fleet service tasks such as checking tyre pressures, tread depths, and wheel nut torque on a scheduled basis

  6. Maintain accurate service records and job cards for each vehicle serviced

Qualifications

You need at least one year of experience as a tyre fitter or in a similar automotive role. A New Zealand level 2 or 3 qualification is preferred, but relevant experience can substitute for formal education. A valid driver’s license is required, and a full clean license is preferred. You must be physically fit for lifting tyres, bending, and standing for long periods. Good communication skills in English are necessary for interacting with clients and team members. You must be able to work at least forty hours per week with occasional Saturday work. A willingness to undergo a pre employment drug test and medical check is required.
