Key Responsibilities
- Perform set up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies for inflight entertainment systems
- Repair and modify aircraft electronics equipment at board level and component level using soldering, crimping, fastening, and gluing techniques
- Test and troubleshoot complex analog and digital electronics systems down to component level, using oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, and power supplies
- Read and interpret schematics and technical publications to facilitate fault isolation and repair
- Assess design configuration status of units under repair by referencing engineering documentation and maintenance manuals
- Generate repair cost quotation worksheets to be transmitted to the end customer
- Maintain a wide variety of avionics equipment, mastering product knowledge and soldering techniques on surface mount technology with acrylic conformal coating
Qualifications
You must have at least a Diploma, Higher Nitec, or Degree in Engineering, Electronics Technology, Aerospace Technology, or an equivalent field. This position requires at least one year of working experience in a related field, preferably troubleshooting electronic products. You need the ability to read schematics and understand electronic circuit design to facilitate fault isolation. Excellent soldering techniques, especially on surface mount technology with acrylic conformal coating, are required. You must be able to operate programmable auto testers, oscilloscopes, frequency meters, distortion analyzers, audio and video signal generators, and semi automatic test equipment. Strong communication skills in English, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision are essential. Benefits and Perks
This full time afternoon shift position offers a monthly salary between SGD 2,500 and SGD 3,200 depending on your experience, plus a daily shift allowance of SGD 28 per working day, which adds approximately SGD 560 per month. You work Monday to Friday from 1.30 PM to 10.30 PM.
