Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload and transport construction materials such as lumber, concrete, steel, and tools to and from work areas.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades according to safety standards.
- Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt using shovels, rakes, and other hand tools.
- Help the medical examiner in charge when required, assisting with first aid or emergency response on site.
- Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, preparing areas for excavation or foundation work.
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, keeping the work area clean and hazard free.
