Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform high quality GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding and fabrication across various carbon steels and stainless steel materials.
  2. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to complete projects accurately to specifications.
  3. Ensure welding equipment is well maintained and in safe working condition, performing routine checks and reporting issues.
  4. Maintain a high standard of work, ensuring finished products meet quality and safety standards and various welding codes.
  5. Work closely with team members across operations and machining to complete projects efficiently and on time.
  6. Follow workplace safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team at all times.
  7. Turn blueprints and drawings into high quality carbon steel products that meet rigorous standards.

What You Need to Qualify

A minimum of five years of welding and fabrication experience is required. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding is essential. A weld test will be required as part of the hiring process. Strong knowledge of metal properties, fabrication techniques, and blueprint reading is necessary. Ability to work independently and within a small team is expected. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality are mandatory. A valid trade qualification in welding or fabrication is advantageous. A forklift license or additional certifications are desirable. You must be either an Australian citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible.
