Key Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties in domestic homes, holiday houses, and commercial properties according to client specifications and company standards
- Clean kitchens by wiping countertops, scrubbing sinks, cleaning appliance exteriors, and degreasing stovetops and splashbacks
- Clean bathrooms including showers, bathtubs, toilets, vanities, and mirrors, using appropriate disinfectants to remove soap scum and grime
- Vacuum carpets and rugs, mop hard floors, dust furniture and shelves, and clean windows and mirrors as required
- Perform and document routine cleaning maintenance activities, noting any issues or additional tasks needed for future visits
- Work in a team environment when assigned to larger properties, coordinating with other cleaners to complete jobs efficiently
- Maintain cleaning equipment by rinsing mop heads, emptying vacuum cleaners, and reporting any malfunctions to the supervisor
Qualifications
Experience in cleaning or housekeeping is required, but training can be provided to the right candidates who show initiative and reliability. You must have a car and a valid driver’s licence because the role involves travelling between properties on the Mornington Peninsula. A paid travel allowance of 99 cents per kilometre is provided, so your car expenses are covered. The ability to work well alone and with a team is essential, as some days you will work independently and other days alongside another cleaner. Physical fitness is required for bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Good communication skills in English are needed to understand client instructions and coordinate with the office.
