Key Responsibilities
- Fit fabricated metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment according to specifications
- Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment including conveyors, pumps, motors, and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults, dismantle faulty equipment, and replace worn or defective parts
- Assemble and install new machinery, aligning components and testing for proper operation before handover
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals to determine repair or assembly procedures
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including lockout tagout and proper use of personal protective equipment
Qualifications
You need at least two years of relevant experience in mechanical fitting, which is required if no formal qualification is held. A trade qualification in mechanical engineering or fitting and machining is preferred. You must be physically fit for lifting, standing, bending, and working in industrial environments. Good English communication skills are needed for reading manuals and coordinating with team members. A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory. Filipino citizens aged twenty to forty five years old with a valid passport are encouraged to apply. You must be willing to work full time hours and undergo a pre employment drug test.

This full time position pays an hourly wage of NZD 30 to NZD 38 depending on your experience and skills, which is the current market rate for a mechanical fitter in New Zealand. Based on a standard work week of forty hours, your monthly earnings will range from approximately NZD 5,200 to NZD 6,600.
