Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment including motors, switchgear, control panels, and instrumentation in an industrial environment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in production machinery, control systems, and power distribution networks
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems according to scheduled plans, recording all work in maintenance logs
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to determine repair or installation procedures
- Test electrical systems using multimeters, insulation testers, and other diagnostic tools to ensure proper operation
- Assist with process improvement projects, recommending upgrades to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including lockout tagout, arc flash protection, and proper use of personal protective equipment
Qualifications
You need at least two years of relevant experience in electrical fitting, which is required if no formal qualification is held. A trade qualification in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred. You must be physically fit for lifting, standing, bending, and working in industrial environments. Good English communication skills are needed for reading manuals and coordinating with team members. A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory. Filipino citizens aged twenty to forty five years old with a valid passport are encouraged to apply. You must be willing to work full time hours and undergo a pre employment drug test.
Benefits and Perks
This full time position pays an hourly wage of NZD 30 to NZD 40 depending on your experience and skills, which is the current market rate for an electrical fitter in New Zealand. Based on a standard work week of forty hours, your monthly earnings will range from approximately NZD 5,200 to NZD 6,900.
