Key Responsibilities
- Assemble valves including all required preparation and sub assembly work, following approved manufacturing procedures to the highest quality standards
- Interpret written specifications, manufacturing instructions, and use standard measuring instruments such as callipers and micrometres
- Use small hand tools and operate material handling equipment including forklifts, cranes, hoists, and pallet handlers safely
- Participate in team based improvement activities to improve safety, quality, and productivity on the shop floor
- Perform valve final inspection according to the relevant procedure, troubleshoot and resolve valve leakage issues promptly
- Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety policy, 5S standards, and other requirements relating to care of equipment and personal protective equipment
- Generate test reports using Microsoft Office software and perform valve calibration using general computer skills
Qualifications
An ITE technical qualification, preferably in mechanical engineering or its equivalent, is required. You need three to five years of experience in mechanical manufacturing, with knowledge in machining. Experience in mechanical testing in an assembly, production, or industrial environment is essential. Past valve assembly and test experience will be an added advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software to generate test reports and general computer skills to perform valve calibration are expected. You should be comfortable using hand tools and operating material handling equipment. A strong commitment to safety and quality is non negotiable.
