Key Responsibilities
- Perform equipment maintenance according to manufacturer maintenance instructions, following schedules and checklists precisely
- Carry out minor repair work as part of preventive maintenance tasks, replacing worn parts and adjusting components as needed
- Assist the supervisor during major repair work, learning advanced troubleshooting techniques and contributing to complex fixes
- Complete ad hoc duties assigned by supervisors, which may include emergency call outs or cross training on different systems
- Inspect material handling equipment, automation systems, and conveyor lines to identify potential issues before they cause breakdowns
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report any recurring faults to the supervisor for root cause analysis
- Follow all safety procedures including lockout tagout and proper use of personal protective equipment
Qualifications
Candidates must possess at least a NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics. Experience in material handling, automation, or conveyor systems would be an advantage. The ability to read and understand electrical drawings or having PLC control system knowledge would be an advantage. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply as full training will be provided. You must be physically fit for standing, climbing, and lifting up to fifteen kilograms. A willingness to work at Changi Airfreight Centre and other assigned contract locations is required.
