Key Responsibilities
- Maintain good working discipline and adopt defined standard farming processes while collaborating with other department members.
- Adhere to safe work practices and be mindful of legal regulation requirements, including using personal protective equipment and following safe work procedures.
- Achieve timely delivery of produce without compromising on quality, ensuring all products meet farm standards.
- Ensure good housekeeping at the workplace and maintain safe working conditions and environment at all times.
- Keep farm equipment in good operating condition by performing scheduled preventive maintenance and reporting issues promptly.
- Carry out sanitation of farming equipment regularly to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
- Perform other supporting work as delegated by the Farm Supervisor, adapting to changing operational needs.
What You Need to Qualify
Primary, Secondary, or NITEC education is required. Experience working in an indoor farm will be an added advantage, but those who are keen to work in an indoor farm may also apply as training will be provided. You must possess a fair command of both written and spoken English. Ability to use basic hand tools is essential. You should be able to start within short notice. Physical fitness for standing, bending, lifting, and working in a controlled indoor environment is necessary. A strong attention to detail and willingness to learn are critical. No prior farming experience is required if you have the right attitude.
Salary and Benefits
The monthly salary for this Farm Operator position ranges from 2,000 to 2,500 Singapore dollars based on experience, which aligns with current market rates for indoor farm workers in Singapore.
