Their Controlled Environment Agriculture based hydroponic farm uses innovative growing systems and energy efficient techniques to produce fresher, pesticide free, and tastier produce sustainably. They serve a marquee set of clients across hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, and have their own direct to consumer operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow the outlined production plans and crop schedules for daily germination, transplanting, and harvesting processes.
- Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures for the farm for growing and packaging of produce as well as pest detection and management.
- Support the team in achieving production and operational targets, contributing to overall farm efficiency.
- Proactively monitor produce quality and report any incidents or abnormalities to the Urban Farm Manager.
- Work directly with the Urban Farm Manager to support the overall running of farm operations.
- Perform manual tasks such as seeding, transplanting, harvesting, and packaging in an outdoor or greenhouse environment.
- Engage with the community to promote sustainable and healthier lifestyles when opportunities arise.
What You Need to Qualify
An enthusiastic individual with the ability to execute assigned tasks in a timely manner and support the growing team is essential. You must be comfortable working in an outdoor or greenhouse environment, which can be warm and humid. A passion for urban farming and engaging the community to promote a sustainable and healthier lifestyle is required. Prior experience in farming is a plus but not mandatory as training will be provided. No formal degree is specified. For the full time role, you must be available to work 5.5 days per week from 8am to 5pm including a one hour break. For the part time role, you must be available from 8am to 12pm for 4 to 5 days per week. Physical fitness for standing, bending, and lifting is necessary.
Salary and Benefits
For the full time role, the monthly salary ranges from 1,800 to 2,100 Singapore dollars based on experience. Working hours are 8am to 5pm including a one hour break, with a 5.5 day work week. For the part time role, working hours are 8am to 12pm for 4 to 5 days per week. You will gain hands on experience with Controlled Environment Agriculture and innovative hydroponic systems.
